My art is a personal form of prayer, trust and practiced intuition.  I begin every painting session with affirming that I will step out of the way of creation so that whatever wants to manifest is free to do so.  I sketch my idea onto the canvas then begin applying texture.   To bring the painting to life I use glazing and layering techniques  to define and refine the shapes.  I sometime feel like  La Loba, the mythical Wolf Woman, who sifts through dry river beds looking for bones of animals to complete a skeleton.  Once all the bones are in place she stands over them, raises her arms and begins to sing them to life.   Painting is my creation song.

Teri Pearman is a self taught intuitive artist who lives is Southwest Missouri.  Her multi layered paintings are unique and powerful and speak to her love of horses and other animals.  She seems to be able to capture the spirit and heart of her subjects.  Her work can be found in private and corporate collections across the Midwest.
